Job summary

King Soopers, part of the Kroger family, is seeking a deli leadership role in Colorado to elevate customer experiences. You will interview, train, evaluate performance, and coach associates while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

As a Deli lead, you’ll schedule staff, enforce food-safety standards, manage promotions, and collaborate with store management to meet customer demand and budget targets.

• Interview, train, evaluate performance, reward and coach associates.

• Empower associates to create a simple, fresh and inspired shopping experience for every customer.
• Prioritize and plan work activities by using time efficiently.

• Communicate store, department, and job information to associates.
• Ensure new associates are properly oriented to the department and benefits.
• Support the Customer 1st team and delegate work with clear direction.
• Maintain punctuality and ensure coverage when absent.
• Execute action plans and daily priorities including performance goals.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety programs.
• Stay current with ads and promote corporate brands to customers.
• Manage deli associate scheduling to meet customer demand.
• Provide actionable feedback to help teams grow.
• Align work with store initiatives and priorities.
• Maintain knowledge of products to help customers with resources.
