Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, TX, is hiring for a Deli Associate to prepare hot and cold deli items to company standards and assist customers with order requests. You will maintain product presentation, stock and rotate deli items, operate equipment safely (including slicer) and uphold food safety guidelines.

Candidates must be at least 18+, have Food Handler certification, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years to operate and clean department equipment.
• Food Handler certification is required.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist deli personnel with slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing hot and cold deli foods.
• Prepare equipment, inspect working order, and maintain cleanliness.
• Stock and rotate deli products to meet quality standards.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and take orders in person or by phone to promote service.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment following safety procedures.
