Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Delicatessen Clerk to handle food safely, keep the area clean, and provide courteous service at the deli counter. You will run registers, greet customers, and help locate products while contributing to a positive store image.

The role emphasizes teamwork, basic arithmetic, and strong adherence to hygiene standards in a fast-paced deli environment in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
• Must be able to solve arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.

Responsabilités

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store
• Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to the products they’re looking for; securing out of reach items; loading or unloading heavy items; and passing along requests.
• Runs the department registers and receives payment, makes change, etc., where applicable.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company hygiene and dress guidelines.
