Job summary

AC&T Co. Inc. is seeking a Deli Associate to serve customers promptly and courteously while preparing delicious deli items. You will slice, weigh, and price meats and cheeses, assemble sandwiches, and handle special orders, trays, and samples, all while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

The role emphasizes great customer service, proper food handling, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
Deli counter or food prep experience may be required.
Ability to lift heavy items (25–50 lbs) and operate slicers, scales, and cash registers.
Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
Must understand food handling and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide responsive, courteous service to deli customers; answer questions, offer samples, and make recommendations.
Slice, weigh, package, and price meats and cheeses; assist with pricing.
Prepare sandwiches, subs, salads, and other cold items for resale.
Prepare special orders and party trays as needed.
Keep work areas clean and stocked; maintain equipment and floors; remove trash.
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Work with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
