Kennie's Market Inc. is seeking a Deli Cook to assist the Deli Manager in daily operations. You will help ensure top quality products and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include setting up hot foods, slicing deli meats and cheeses, weighing salads, keeping the case stocked, assisting with pizzas and sandwiches, and maintaining cleanliness. You must be able to read safety rules, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with customers and teammates; 18+ to operate slicer,

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years or older to operate slicer equipment.
• Some deli operations experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with customers and employees.
• Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up hot foods case for the day.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer satisfaction.
• Distribute salads from the cold deli case.
• Keep the food service area well stocked.
• Assist in making, wrapping and pricing pizzas.
• Assist in making sandwiches and subs, and packaging.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in sales area.
• Wrap lunch meats and cheeses at closing.
• Tear down chip section at closing.
• Cooperate with other departments during promotions.
• Obey all safety standards as outlined by the company.
• Perform other appropriate duties as directed by the Deli Manager or Store Manager.
