Gerrity's Supermarkets in Northeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Cook for the Deli/Kitchen team. You will perform daily duties under the Deli Manager and Head Chef, presenting yourself professionally and ensuring high customer service standards.

Responsibilities include prepping hot and cold dishes, maintaining sanitation, managing inventory, and supporting colleagues. The role requires reliability, physical stamina, and a commitment to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Able to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Capable of standing, walking, kneeling and reaching as part of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Competent knowledge of Essential Functions of the Fryer.
• Maintain kitchen inventory quality and quantities.
• Set up hot foods case for the day.
• Merchandise and maintain prepared foods.
• Prepare entrees for hot and cold displays.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen area.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and department staff.
• Perform duties as delegated by Head Chef.
• Maintain established food safety policies.
• Be present at workstation at start of shift.
• Comply with safety policies and dress code.
• Adhere to Customer Service Pledge at all times.
