Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets is hiring a Cook for the Deli department in Scranton, PA. This full-time position requires maintaining high customer service standards and assisting the Deli Manager/Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.

You will be responsible for food preparation, setting up displays, inventory control, and ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 40 lbs; experience in food service is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to read, write, analyze and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate fryer and kitchen equipment as directed.
• Maintain inventory quality and proper quantities.
• Set up hot foods case for the day.
• Prepare entrees for hot and cold displays.
• Keep kitchen area clean and sanitary.
• Follow safety policies and dress code.
• Report to Head Chef and cooperate with staff.
