Gerrity's Supermarkets in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Cook for the Deli department. You will perform duties under the Deli Manager and Head Chef, presenting a professional appearance and maintaining high customer service standards.

Responsibilities include setting up hot foods, preparing entrees, stocking, cleanliness, and adherence to safety policies. The role requires 18+ and ability to lift 40 lb, with opportunities in a longstanding regional family business.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, such as pounds and weight increments.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand.
• Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell.
• While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, and utilize full hand and digit functions, reach with hands and arms while manipulating objects.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus.

Responsabilités

• Operate the fryer and other essential kitchen functions.
• Maintain kitchen inventory quality and quantities.
• Set up hot foods display for the day.
• Prepare entrees for hot and cold displays.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area.
• Adhere to safety policies and Dress Code.
