Cosentino's Price Chopper in Blue Springs, MO is seeking a part-time Cook for the Deli to produce, assemble, and deliver fresh prepared foods with attention to quality and presentation. The role reports to the Deli Manager and requires compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities include menu development with the department manager, portion control, supervising part-time cooks, inventory, and customer service.

Qualificações

• Must obtain a food handling permit within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino's Learning Plan.
• Minimum of one year of previous cooking experience in a deli, bakery, catering, or banquet operation is required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in deli or food service production facility is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local food sanitation guidelines is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop daily, weekly, and seasonal menu items with the department manager.
• Know and practice appropriate portion control in deli production and service.
• Ensure all foods are prepared in safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and high-quality standards.
• Enforce strict quality control of deli products in cases, hot lines and other areas.
• Supervise and motivate part-time cooks to maintain performance.
• Promote a positive, cooperative team atmosphere and recognize good work.
• Train, direct, and manage part-time cooks.
• Communicate resources needed for the Deli department clearly and effectively.
• Practice inventory management by counting, verifying, and inspecting deliveries.
• Follow rotation procedures to monitor product dates.
• Be familiar with department items to answer customer questions.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and help drive department sales.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and involve management when needed.
• Follow Cosentino's Customer Service Standards.
