Job summary

Sullivan's Grocery is seeking a Cook, Food Service Clerk to prepare, cook and serve food in our grocery store kitchen/cafeteria. You will take food orders, serve customers, and handle money using electronic scanners or cash registers, including processing credit/debit transactions and checks.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, monitoring food prep, resolving food quality complaints, maintaining inventories, and performing cooking and serving tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Less than high school education.
• Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Food preparation, cooking and serving.
• Computer Skills: Certifications & Licenses:

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, respond to inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnish and presentation.
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service and accommodations.
• Maintain food and equipment inventories and inventory records.
• Perform food preparation or service tasks: cooking, clearing tables, serving food and drinks.
• Test cooked food by tasting and smelling for palatability and flavor.
