Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Deli Clerk to prepare fresh deli items and provide friendly, efficient service while helping customers select from a wide range of meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and grab-and-go options.

The role involves stocking and maintaining clean, organized displays, monitoring freshness and temperature, and operating slicers and prep equipment safely. Strong math and prior food service experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to operate slicers and food preparation equipment following training and safety guidelines
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh deli items and help customers choose from meats, cheeses, hot foods, and prepared items
• Keep the department stocked, clean, and organized; maintain displays and monitor product freshness and temperature
• Assist with slicing, portioning, labeling and pricing to ensure fast, accurate service
