Hy-Vee is seeking a Delicatessen Clerk in Yankton, SD. The role focuses on handling food safely, maintaining a clean work area, and providing courteous, efficient customer service at the delicatessen counter.

You will operate registers, take orders, assist customers, and support the department with freshness and production planning. This part-time position reports to store management and requires the ability to follow instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Less than high school or equivalent experience and six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Assist customers by guiding them to products and answering questions.
• Take customer orders at the delicatessen counter and process payments where applicable.
• Operate department registers, handle payments and make change when needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work area and ensure freshness of products.
• Work with team to ensure a positive shopping experience and timely tasks completion.
