Job summary

Down The Street Eats, a restaurant group based in Winter Park, CO, is hiring a Deli Clerk - Closing Staff to join our night crew. You will ensure the deli remains clean, safe, and ready for opening the next day, while delivering friendly, late-night service to guests.

Responsibilities include sanitizing slicers and prep equipment, storing meats and cheeses with proper labeling and temperature logs, restocking display cases and condiments, and completing end-of-night closing procedures with

• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards; ServSafe certification a plus.
• Ability to work flexible late-night hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable; closers are essential to morning openings.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Positive attitude.

• Wrap, label, date, and store meats, cheeses, and prepared salads; log display case temperatures.

• Provide courteous service to late-night guests, take final orders, and process register transactions through closing time.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and counter floors, dispose of trash and food waste, and perform end-of-night lockup procedures with management.

Down the Street Eats is a restaurant group based in and around Winter Park, Colorado. We believe in having great food and great service at all of our locations. This includes all of our awesome full service locations in Grand County, CO.

We just have one problem: our restaurant is booming with business! We want to be known as the best restaurants in Grand County, CO.

This is where you come in. As Deli Clerk - Closing Staff, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standard of restaurant operations. You will be responsible for providing great service to end-of-night guests while ensuring the restaurant is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, rested, and fully prepared for the opening team the next morning.

What Winning Looks Like:

• Equipment Breakdown & Sanitization: Safely disassemble, deep clean, and sanitize commercial meat/cheese slicers, scales, prep lines, and other related machines according to health safety standards.
• Food Storage & Temperature Compliance: Wrap, label, date, and properly store all meats, cheeses, and prepared salads in coolers while logging final display case temperatures.
• Display Case & Station Reset: Clean glass cases, drain and sanitize hot/cold wells, and restock packaging, paper products, and condiments for the opening team.
• Counter & Customer Service: Provide courteous service to late-night customers, take final orders, and process register transactions through closing time.
• Nightly Sanitation & Security: Sweep and mop kitchen and counter floors, dispose of trash and food waste, and perform end‑of‑night lockup procedures alongside management.

Skills Needed to Win:

• Prior restaurant, hospitality, or custodial/cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification is a plus).
• Ability to work flexible late-night hours, including weekends and holidays.
• High level of reliability, punctuality, and accountability—closers are essential to smooth morning openings.
