Overview of Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your tasks include arranging vegetables, slicing meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. The role offers growth opportunities to learn about products, equipment, and customer service. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To be a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Have an outgoing, friendly attitude and positive demeanor.
• Be flexible with your schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs., for up to 20 feet, without mechanical assistance, for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Operate slicers and other equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
