Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your tasks include arranging vegetables, slicing meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service. We seek individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable, reliable, and outgoing with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties.
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer).
• Other duties as assigned.
