Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service. We value individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Possess good communication skills, be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, and work well in a team.
• Be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. and standing for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the department.
• Operate equipment safely and adhere to all safety and health regulations, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit.
• Be comfortable working in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer).

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $16.70 - $22.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
