You will staff and train, manage scheduling, focus on safety, and mentor team to meet sales goals; a high school diploma and 2–3 years of retail experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience in food service, deli, bakery, or grocery operations.
• 1 year of management experience in food service, deli, bakery, or grocery operations.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensures thorough training and a safe work environment.
• Spends time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
