Job summary

Kj’s Market is hiring for a deli/bakery host. You will ensure guests receive polite, friendly service, help maintain inventory and quality, and support the department in merchandising and operations. The role requires supervising hosts, training, and effective communication to meet service and sales goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
