Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a part-time team member to provide friendly guest service and support in the deli/bakery operations. You’ll help with frying, cutting, baking, weighing and pricing, while ensuring product quality and freshness and maintaining clean, sanitary work areas.

Ideal candidates are friendly, able to work well with others, and capable of light lifting. This role involves front-end duties to ensure a positive guest experience and participation in daily specials and announcements.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, baking, weighing, and pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guests requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform front end duties to insure 'guests arrival' standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
