Job summary

Homeland-Stores is seeking an Assistant Deli Combo Manager in Oklahoma to help lead the Bakery/Deli department and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist with staff supervision, training, scheduling, and product displays while supporting daily deli operations.

Responsibilities include ordering, inventory checks, baking supervision, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical ability and ability to count.
• English reading and writing skills to follow instructions and invoices.
• Bakery/Deli department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
• Assist with hiring, discipline, promotions, and evaluations in Bakery/Deli.
• Orient and train new Bakery/Deli staff and retrain as needed.
• Develop weekly labor schedules for Bakery/Deli staff.
• Record customer cake and bakery/deli orders accurately.
• Support weekly merchandising displays and promotions.
• Order bakery/deli products and supplies from approved vendors.
• Process purchases quickly using cash register, scanner, and scale.
• Maintain the department display area and communication board.
• Supervise baking of breads, cakes, pies, pastries and brownies.
• Organize cooler/freezer areas and verify deliveries and invoices.
• Move products to floor, open cases, rotate stock and check dates.
• Follow safety procedures for equipment and operations.
• Coordinate with Deli manager on issues and merchandising decisions.
• Check temperatures 4x daily and log results.
• Prepare and package bakery/deli items for sale.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
