Qualifications

• Basic mathematical ability and counting.
• Able to read and write English; follow instructions.

• Ability to read instructions, labels, and order forms.
• Make judgments on merchandise placement and display quality.
• Able to price mark products for customers.
• Good interpersonal communications.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, respond to questions, and explain store policies.
• Wrap, package and sell items: sandwiches, pizza, salads, fruits, cheese, desserts.
• Process purchases quickly on the cash register and scanner.
• Review daily board for sampling program and announcements.
• Prepare/organize cooler/freezer area and stock merchandise.
• Adhere to health codes; clean work areas and equipment.
• Transport and stock case items; rotate stock and face displays.
• Ensure safety and report hazards to a supervisor.
• Operate equipment as required (baler, slicer, pallet jack) with age limitations.
• Evaluate product quality and reprocess or markdown unsalable items.
• Check temperatures and record checks; note out-of-stock conditions.
• Stock display cases and counters; assist peak period needs.
