Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Second language ability (spoken, read or write).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond with suggestions.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests using proper deli equipment.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain temperatures.
• Report safety risks or issues and any problems to management.
