Job summary

Kroger is seeking a deli/bakery team member to deliver excellent customer service and prepare deli items per customer requests. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and work with store teams to achieve department goals. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth may apply.

Minimum qualifications include being 18 or older, strong communication, basic math, and a current food handler permit upon employment. Previous retail/deli experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates on performance of their job.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with questions.
• Prepare deli/bakery items per requests and slice meats/cheeses.
• Provide customers the fresh products they order and correct portions.
• Inform and educate associates on promotions and seasonal ads.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags.
