Job summary

Harris Teeter in Suffolk, VA is seeking a part-time store associate to take excellent care of customers, satisfy their needs, and exceed expectations. The role requires product knowledge, basic food preparation, sales ability, and teamwork to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; write simple correspondence in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships to satisfy customer needs and exceed expectations.
• Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards; unload stock and reload salvage items.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and cooperate with associates to ensure a positive shopping experience.
