Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Deli/Bakery Clerk to keep food service cases stocked and clean while assisting customers with purchases and product selection.

The role requires adherence to Food Service guidelines, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment; prior grocery retail or natural foods experience is a plus. Weekly pay and valuable benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Food Service.
• Experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.
• Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.
• Ability to adapt to the ever changing high volume retail while working in a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of deli/bakery cases, storage area, and work area.
• Stocks deli/bakery cases with accurate pricing and product facing.
• Checks rotation and discards expired or spoiled items.
• Assists customers with purchases, information and product selection; cross-sells items.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
• Monitors POP signs, recipe cards, and promotional materials.
