Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is seeking a Deli/Bakery Clerk to ensure our food service cases are stocked, clean, and inviting for customers. You will assist shoppers, provide friendly service, and uphold procedural guidelines set by the Food Service Department.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years in grocery retail preferred and any experience in natural foods as a plus. You will handle equipment safely and contribute to a well-organized, sanitary department.

Qualifications

• Experience in natural foods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keeps deli/bakery cases stocked and clean during business hours.
• Assists customers and maintains a friendly demeanor.
• Ensures case cleanliness, pricing accuracy, and proper labeling.
• Inspects incoming products for temperature, quality and accuracy.
• Operates deli equipment safely (knives, scales, wrappers, etc.).
• Participates in pre-inventory prep and back stock organization.
• Maintains product knowledge and department cleanliness.
• Adheres to Health Department guidelines.
