Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking a friendly Deli Bakery Associate for a part-time role at one of our US military commissary locations. You will slice meats and cheeses, assist with displays, and help with shipments while delivering fast, courteous service to service members and their families.

Requirements include being at least 18 years old, good communication, basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Able to stand and walk for whole shift.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer’s request.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly.
• Stocks and organizes displays; assists with shipments as needed.
• Ensures proper sanitation and food handling.
• Works in a fast-paced environment and handles stress.
• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, or rotisserie chicken prep.
