Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate to serve military personnel and families at a commissary location. You will slice meats and cheeses, help create party trays, stock displays, and maintain a clean, safe workstation with strong teamwork.

You should be 18+, capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including cold freezers. Flexible shifts and growth opportunities are available across 32 states.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Team player.
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus!

Responsibilities

• Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer’s request.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly.
• Stock and organize displays, including helping with shipments as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks as needed.
