Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Food for Less in Florida is seeking an Experienced Cook/Deli Associate who enjoys serving customers with courteous, prompt service. You will prepare and serve hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and soups while keeping a clean, organized workstation.

Duties include front-end customer assistance, stocking, rotating products for freshness, following food safety guidelines, and assisting with inventory.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
• Prepare and serve food items such as hot meals, sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste.
• Operate department equipment and tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to include maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned to include stocking, cleaning, etc.
