Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Food for Less Albany GA is seeking a part-time Deli Associate/Cook to serve customers and prepare foods in a fast-paced deli environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, preparing hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Prior deli or food service experience is preferred, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist and thank customers promptly
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; restock to minimize waste
• Operate department equipment and tools safely
• Adhere to safety programs and report unsafe conditions or incidents
• Prepare and serve food items such as hot meals, sandwiches, salads, soups
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and clean utensils
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned including stocking and cleaning
