Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support deli/bakery operations at a commissary location. You will lead 5–10 staff, uphold safety standards, manage inventories, and ensure excellent service for military families.

Required: 2+ years in grocery/food service, a valid Food Safety Management Certification (or ability to obtain in 30 days), and weekend availability. This is a full-time, on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience.
• Must have Food Safety Management Certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days from the hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in providing leadership in the department by directing and managing 5-10 employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, while meeting commissary requirements and maximizing profits.
• Oversee and enforce Food Safety and Sanitation policies and procedures.
