Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support deli and bakery operations at a US Military Commissary location. You will lead a team of 5–10, uphold food safety standards, and help drive profits while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years in grocery or food service and a mandatory shift-lead/management background, with the ability to obtain a Food Safety Management Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in providing leadership to 5–10 employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting commissary requirements.
• Oversee inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering supplies.
• Assist in scheduling and training employees and delegating work assignments.
• Prepare, maintain, and track inventories and profit records.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and safety requirements are met.
• Develop professional communication with commissary management to meet financial objectives.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and address issues with process improvements.
• Maintain department records and monitor employee morale.
• Perform duties of staff as required in this hands-on position.
