ShopRite is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk at our South Brunswick, NJ location. The role supports the Appy/Deli Manager in daily operations, maintains a neat, clean department, and ensures accurate product labeling and rotation.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate slicers and scales, and interact with customers in a friendly manner while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English is required.
• Basic math ability is required for price changes and measurements.
• Ability to operate department equipment (e.g., slicer, scale, can-opener, wrapping machine).
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain attendance per policy.

Responsibilities

• Use a slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product.
• Prepare Appy/Deli product for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and pricing products.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Display products attractively and keep displays stocked.
• Observe safety and sanitation standards and report equipment issues.
