Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Caritas House, seeks a Delegating Nurse Manager to lead nursing care across residential programs. You will supervise the Delegating Nurse and ensure adherence to nursing standards and care plans while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an RN license, a 3-year nursing background (including long-term/acute care), and a commitment to on-call availability for a 24-hour facility. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Maintains Delegating Nurse certification per state rules.
• Three years of nursing experience, incl. LTC/dementia/acute care.
• RN license in good standing with MBON; CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership for residential programs and ensure safe, person-centered care.
• Supervise the Delegating Nurse and oversee delegated nursing services.
• Coordinate medical services and monitor residents' health status.
• Develop and adjust care plans, goals, and nursing interventions.
• Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff; monitor medication administration.
• Train staff on care plans, procedures, and nursing services to ensure safety.
• Complete required 4-hour recertification and train CMTs for renewals.
• Collaborate with families, providers, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate nursing assessments, evaluations, and health documentation.
• Escalate safety or compliance risks to leadership as needed.
• Provide 24/7 on-call nursing coverage for emergencies and guidance.
