Job summary

NYC Public Schools is hiring a Director, Data Research and Evaluation to lead a team of Diversity Coordinators responsible for data collection, management, analysis, and reporting in support of DEIB initiatives.

The role ensures timely, accurate data and insights to improve organizational culture, engagement, and operations, reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer and collaborating with NYCPS leadership and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, public administration, or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience in program evaluation, organizational research, or performance measurement is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data collection and evaluation policies to support DEIB initiatives.
• Lead data analysis and reporting to inform policy and program design improvements.
• Develop and refine communications for staff, leadership, and NYCPS Cabinet to share results and expectations.
• Collaborate with internal offices and external partners on annual surveys and data collection.
• Oversee the research team and data management to deliver annual survey results.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy across reports and public/internal sites.
• Design data collection tools, analyses, and dashboards aligned with strategic goals.
• Track program outcomes and provide actionable insights for culture and engagement.
