Job summary

NPR is seeking a Manager of Inclusive Workplace Programs to translate our DEI strategy into practical, high-impact workplace initiatives. You will support staff, supervisors, and leaders and serve as the operational partner for ERGs, guiding governance, budgets, and annual charters.

The role requires high emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt programs to evolving environments, ensuring inclusivity, legality, and accessibility across divisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years coordinating, managing, or executing workplace DEI initiatives.
• Demonstrated history advising, organizing, or leading Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) or similar groups.
• Proven ability to facilitate interactive workshops and presentations across virtual and in-person settings.
• Experience working cross-functionally with managers, staff representatives, and executive sponsors.
• Track record translating high-level strategy into structured, milestone-driven project plans.
• Experience identifying program barriers and using collaborative problem-solving to implement solutions.
• Budget governance and governance adherence for ERGs and DEI programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, launch, and manage measurable DEI programs aligning with NPR's strategic goals.
• Partner with Learning and Development to strengthen inclusion, equity, accessibility, and cultural competency in trainings.
• Create practical guides and toolkits to help managers embed inclusive leadership in daily workflows.
• Serve as the central point of contact for ERG leaders, guiding charter development and budget reconciliation.
• Advise department leadership on localized belonging efforts and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with People Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Internal Communications to weave inclusive practices into recruitment and retention.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for DEI programs and ERGs using surveys and participation data.
• Prepare leadership-facing progress reports and highlight opportunities for tactical adjustments.
