Job summary

Trcac in Amador and Calaveras counties seeks a full-time Degreed Nutritionist for the WIC program to promote nutrition for pregnant women and young children. You will conduct nutrition assessments, counseling, and education for WIC participants, support WIC Nutrition Assistants, and collaborate with a diverse team dedicated to community health.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a closely related field.
Minimum competencies as specified by the California State Department of Health Supplemental Nutrition Program for WIC.
One-year experience in a community health care services setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Nutrition Education and Training: Engage with individuals or groups using the Participant Centered Education (PCE) approach.
Support the Breastfeeding Coordinator in planning and conducting nutrition education and breastfeeding contacts.
Special Projects and Outreach: produce nutrition education materials and participate in WIC outreach activities.
Collaborate with WIC Nutrition Assistants and a diverse team to promote community health.
