Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a DeFi Developer for a hybrid role based in East London. You will design, develop, and deploy smart contracts and dApps powering cutting-edge DeFi products.

The ideal candidate has deep Solidity expertise, hands-on DeFi experience, and familiarity with Hardhat/Truffle. Collaboration with product and engineering teams is essential to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in developing smart contracts using Solidity and familiarity with EVM.
• Hands-on experience with DeFi protocols (e.g., DEXs, lending protocols, yield farming).
• Proficiency in using blockchain development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Understanding of blockchain security principles and best practices.
• Experience with front-end development frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy smart contracts for various DeFi protocols and applications.
• Design and implement secure and efficient decentralized applications (dApps).
• Integrate with existing blockchain networks and protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain).
• Collaborate with product teams to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency and performance.
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments of DeFi protocols.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for all developed code.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, innovations, and security considerations in the DeFi space.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technical roadmap of our DeFi products.
