Job summary

Polymarket in New York is seeking a Global Intelligence & Investigations investigator to own day-to-day surveillance of crypto markets. You’ll trace wallets across chains, review order-book data, and investigate insider trading, manipulation, and illicit-finance exposure with rigor and documented findings.

You’ll join a small, independent team handling complex cases, managing alerts, and escalating to legal counsel as needed, while pushing for process improvements and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in trade surveillance, on-chain investigations, blockchain analytics, or financial-crime roles.
• Hands-on wallet tracing across a blockchain including bridges and mixers.
• Solid knowledge of order-book manipulation and related trading patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL or similar for pulling and joining data; ability to write queries.

Responsibilities

• Triage alerts and referrals against investigation thresholds; set priority and next steps.
• Trace wallets across chains, bridges, and funding flows; cluster related addresses.
• Review order-book data for spoofing, layering, wash trading, and multi-account activity.
• Investigate insider trading, oracle manipulation, bot abuse, and sanctions exposure.
• Write queries and build lightweight analyses; propose new detection signals.
• Document matters with clear, sourced findings suitable for legal/regulatory review.
• Handle law enforcement and regulatory requests with deadlines and escalation as needed.
