Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a detail‑oriented professional to review financial and contract documents, prepare Deferred Discount requests, and analyze brokerage commissions. The role requires accuracy, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and collaboration across departments.

You will use AS400 and BI reports to verify data, engage with customers to resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliant records for audits. This position supports growth within a structured Shipping environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience reviewing financial, billing, or contract documents.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry with adherence to rules and procedures.
• Ability to understand and apply FMC regulations related to contracts, rates, and charges.
• Strong customer service and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Intermediate MS Office, especially Excel.
• Comfort with digital tools and internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Research and prepare Deferred Discount requests for approval with Confidential Service Contract analysis.
• Use BI reports to assist in determining Deferred Discount amounts.
• Review invoices for accuracy and liaise with customers to resolve discrepancies.
• Review Brokerage Commission payments for approval and ensure consistency with contracts and invoices.
• Use Deferred Discount Jira project per department standards.
• Coordinate with Credit & Collections and Accounts Receivable for invoicing processes.
• Manage high email volume and respond to queries promptly.
• Maintain organized electronic files for audits and compliance.
