Job summary

ITS, LLC. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) Engineer to join a dynamic team. You will consult on cyber defense architectures, assess mission-specific threats, and design and tune defensive tools to protect, detect, and respond to cyber threats.

The role requires 5+ years in cyber-defense, IAT Level II, and TS/SCI clearance, with hands-on experience in SIEM, ELK, Suricata, and container ecosystems. Expect a demanding, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a cyber-related discipline (e.g. network engineering, computer science, information systems).
• IAT Level II certification is required.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• 5+ years in cyber-defense or related fields.(engineering, networking, systems integration)
• Experience in container/virtual environments (Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, AWS) and data-analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Consult on IT and cyber defensive architecture and technologies.
• Assess cyber domain to understand mission, architecture, and threat.
• Advise on design/implementation of Defensive Cyber Operations capabilities.
• Research cyber defense options for best fit to mission.
• Design, implement, configure, and tune cyber defense technologies.
• Create documentation: SOPs, checklists, guides, diagrams, crew binders.
• Develop cyber tools and technologies (ELK, Kafka, Suricata, BRO, yara).
