Job summary

Phoenix Defense LLC is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Integration and Test team. You will execute predefined tasks, learn testing methodologies, and support senior team members in testing efforts. This role is offered at multiple skill levels and requires active CAC card or DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred).

Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering, knowledge of testing principles, and willingness to learn. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
• Ability to obtain DoD clearances and security certifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and document basic issues with program functionality.
• Execute test cases and document results in bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Assist in testing system modifications prior to implementation.
• Install, maintain, or use software testing tools under supervision.
• Provide basic troubleshooting support for staff and users.
• Maintain records of daily transactions, problems, and remedial actions.
• Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems.
• Read technical manuals and attend training to enhance testing knowledge.
