Job summary

SAIC is seeking a motivated Technical Writer to join the CAC2S project in North Charleston, SC. You will produce, maintain, and refine manuals, installation and maintenance guides, and training documentation for military systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and logisticians to gather details, create clear materials, and ensure MIL-STD and customer standards compliance. Prior technical writing experience and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance within 60 days are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma at minimum.
• Experience in Technical Writing of manuals, MLA Format, MIL Standard preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance within 60 days of hire; SAIC will help to obtain.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update technical and administrative materials (reports, manuals, installation, operation, maintenance guides, proposals, training docs).
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, logisticians, and customers to gather details and translate into documentation.
• Create pictorial and line-drawn instructions to enhance materials.
• Refine and coordinate the work of other writers to ensure a cohesive product.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD requirements and customer standards.
• Support CAC2S equipment and systems throughout development, installation, and operation.
