Job summary

Jiga is seeking a senior communications leader to shape the company's voice in aerospace and defense. You will own positioning, messaging, content, media relations, events, podcasts, and speaking opportunities.

You will write, pitch and place stories, build journalist relationships, secure placements, and support sales and fundraising with credible materials. This is a fully remote, async-first role with autonomy and impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in communications, PR, or content in defense tech or aerospace.
• Demonstrated live media relationships with reporters and outlets.
• Proven ability to land coverage for a company without a big brand.

Responsibilities

• Direct positioning and messaging for aerospace and defense audiences.
• Create content: articles, op-eds, industry insights, case studies, LinkedIn posts.
• Build relationships with journalists, editors, and podcast hosts in defense tech.
• Secure news placements, speaking slots, awards, and conference presence.
• Lead senior leader thought leadership across social, podcasts, and media.
• Improve discoverability of Jiga when senior leaders search for US manufacturing capacity.
• Manage freelancers or agencies to extend capabilities.
• Provide credible materials to sales, BD, and fundraising teams.
