Job summary

GM Defense seeks engineers to solve challenging problems for military platforms, survivability, and mission-critical performance. You will work on systems across mechanical, electrical, software, and test disciplines, with a focus on defense programs and integrated vehicle development.

The role supports hybrid collaboration in Michigan, with opportunities to influence programs from concept through deployment and an emphasis on rigorous analysis and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field.
  • At minimum, 2 years of engineering experience supporting defense, military, aerospace, or government programs.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative engineering solutions.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, integrating, validating, supporting, or testing defense-related systems, vehicles, platforms, sensors, communications equipment, autonomous technologies, or mission-critical hardware/software solutions.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the engineering design, integration, and testing of defense platforms and systems.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions for military applications.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure mission-critical performance and reliability.
