Aquila Technology is seeking a Systems Architect Engineer to join our team near Lexington, MA. The role focuses on software development for the full stack, design, development, and support of technical programs using modern engineering practices.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in systems architecture, modeling, and design, with strong JavaScript and Python skills, and proficiency in container tech and DevOps practices. On-site presence is expected 60%+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in Systems Engineering/Architecture.
• 2+ years in DevOps processes, practices and tools.
• 5+ years JavaScript experience.
• 5+ years Python experience.
• 5+ years scripting experience (Python/Ansible/TCL/Bash).
• 5+ years software development languages (Python, Golang, or C++).
• 1+ years container technologies (Podman, Docker or Kubernetes).
• 2+ years GitLab CI/CD.
• 1+ years Kubernetes.
• 10+ years Systems Architecture experience.
• 7+ years Systems Design experience.
• 7+ years Systems Modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support software for full-stack systems.
• Evaluate and propose use of open source and commercial software/frameworks/tools.
• Collaborate with program managers and technical staff to deliver program deliverables.
