Job summary

Davidson is seeking an Algorithms Analysis Engineer to support development, evaluation, and enhancement of combat systems designed to improve tracking, prediction, and discrimination capabilities for threats worldwide. This role blends deep technical analysis with clear communication to multi-disciplinary teams.

You will analyze algorithm performance, build Python and MATLAB tools, and present findings to engineers and leadership, ensuring reliability of mission‑critical defense technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of algorithm analysis, simulation modeling or performance evaluation.
• Strong Python and MATLAB/Simulink for data analysis and tooling.
• Knowledge of missile defense concepts and tracking algorithms.
• Experience with simulation environments and HWIL integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performance analysis of missile tracking and prediction algorithms.
• Analyze space-based sensor data and fusion algorithms.
• Defect tracking and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Develop analysis tools in Python and MATLAB to automate processing.
• Prepare technical reports, slides, and briefings for reviews and customers.
• Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and test teams.
