Job summary

deciBel Research, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Developer to join the GMD Weapon System Fire Control Engagement Planner team.

You will implement and test Ada/C++ capabilities and contribute to code modernization in a highly visible DoD program. Candidates should hold a STEM degree, have 5+ years of related experience (or 3 years with a Master’s, or up to 10 years with a PhD), possess MATLAB and Python skills, and hold an active Secret clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field required.
• 5+ years related experience or 3 years with a Master's or up to 10 years with a PhD.
• Experience solving highly mathematical and physics based complex problems.
• Experience analyzing and implementing optimization algorithms.
• Recent Ada or C++ development experience; willingness to master Ada.
• MATLAB and Python experience required.
• Active Interim or Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship; able to work in-person in a closed-area environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms for the GWS Fire Control Engagement Planner team.
• Participate in code modernization and translating Ada code to C++.
• Support reviews of requirements and test cases for the Engagement Planner team.
