ITT Inc. is seeking an experienced Defense Industry Sales Manager to drive sales of suspension products in military markets.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with defense contractors, government agencies, and OEMs, leveraging mechanical expertise, and delivering tailored solutions. The position is remote, located near Detroit, Michigan, with 50% travel for calls, trade shows, and presentations.

Qualifications

• Experience selling technical products from a manufacturing company, preferably in defense.
• Bachelor's degree in business or sales field is required.
• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge, especially in suspension systems/shock absorbers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface for assigned defense industry accounts, representing the company with integrity and technical know-how.
• Conduct sales calls to defense OEMs, military contractors, and government agencies; secure new contracts and grow market share.
• Lead responses to RFPs with internal teams to ensure optimal technical and financial solutions.
• Drive market growth through new business opportunities and tailored sales strategies for defense industry.
• Present and demonstrate suspension capabilities meeting customer technical requirements.
• Leverage mechanical expertise to validate solutions, assess costs, and align with customer specs.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with defense customers for ongoing business.
