Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a seasoned defense analyst to evaluate AI-generated scenarios involving military operations and defense planning. The role requires assessing the realism of capabilities and assumptions in conflict analyses and providing structured written feedback to improve AI-generated content.

Ideal candidates will have a background in defense research, experience with IHL/ROE and civilian protection, and the ability to communicate findings clearly in written form to think tanks

Requirements

• Professional experience as a defense analyst, military operations analyst, conflict analyst, or national security researcher.
• Background in defense research, military capabilities assessment, conflict analysis, or operational planning.
• Strong understanding of military operations, armed conflict, and defense-related decision-making.
• Ability to evaluate complex scenarios and communicate findings clearly in writing.
• Experience with defense organizations, government agencies, research institutes, think tanks, or international organizations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with international humanitarian law (IHL), Rules of Engagement (ROE), or civilian protection is a plus.
